If you are a dynamic and inspirational Physical and Health Education (PHE) teacher with IB Middle Years Programme experience and are seeking a new adventure for the next academic year, we would like to hear from you!

The successful candidate will be passionate about sports science, committed to the school’s vision and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students both in the classroom and on the sports field.

What will you do on a day-to-day basis?

The successful candidate will:

Be experienced in teaching senior school PHE
Be committed to the health and safety of our students and promoting health lifestyle choices.
Have experience of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and philosophy.
Be responsible for collaborating on curriculum design, including the development of inquiry-driven units to explore physical and health education concepts.
Be able to engage, and differentiate for the needs of, students at all levels
Be interested in using a constructivist approach to learning and developing autonomous learners.
Be enthusiastic about promoting international-mindedness and service learning.
Be committed to high standards of organisation.
Be responsible for managing and maintaining sports equipment and resouces.
Be visible and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour
Be flexible, creative and resilient
Be willing to connect with the local community regarding external provision and use of facilities.
Be a collaborative team member who is keen to support the development of the wider school community.
Experience of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and leading off-site residentials and activities would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Education or other relevant degree with teaching qualification
Relevant international teaching experience
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
An innovator, committed to learning and keeping up to date with current research
An inspiring, challenging, and empowering educator
Able to demonstrate creativity, compassion and a desire to make a difference in the learning of our children
